ASSET MANAGER (m/f) Financial Services Sector - PLZ 44 (Ruhr)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Aircraft Delivery and Redelivery
Manage the delivery, redelivery and transition of aircraft. Interface with airline clients, monitor and control the various delivery or redelivery conditions as outlined in the contract policies and procedures, ensuring that delivery and redelivery of aircraft in accordance with the contractual agreements will take place. Take an active role in the remarketing and reconfiguration process.
Monitor and Ensure Lease Compliance
Monitor, check and manage lease/purchase/sale requirements and obligations as well as track critical events, in line with the terms of the agreement and policies and procedures, in order to ensure compliance with the various aircraft agreements and funding agreements. Monitor and control the maintenance reserves process as per lease agreements and manage the technical audit process (planning, assessment of technical audits and implementation).
Database Management
Collate, review, capture and manage all the relevant lease and portfolio lease information in the company’s lease management system, in order to make all contractual data available company wide.
New Business Development / Aircraft Procurement
Support new business campaigns, prepare LOI’s, calculate and prepare new lease offers, review existing transaction on sale and research the aviation lease markets. Follow up with potential customer and take responsibility for all documentation involved in the procurement process.
Legal Documents
Prepare and co-ordinate with companies legal and external counsel, various legal documents and correspondence in line with the terms and conditions set forth in the contract and the policies and procedures of the company.
Reporting
Prepare and distribute reports, in line with company’s requirements, in order to provide internal and external parties with relevant and up to date lease/portfolio information.
Review market data on a continuous basis to be able to update various internal and external parties by means of market updates or reviews.
Other
Manage ad-hoc special transactions or regulatory requirements (e.g., Cape Town Registrations, Portfolio Management, Customs, Sarbanes-Oxley Audits), Register and / or deregister aircraft using knowledge of specific aviation authority requirements, Manage intra-department and team projects. Appoint, monitor and oversee relevant third party service providers as required. Be prepared to act as backup team member for other team members.
Your Profile:
A Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience, for example, 3-5 years’ experience in the aircraft leasing or aviation industry. We are also open to applications from candidates without aviation industry knowledge who are highly interested in that area and offer excellent work experience in Asset Management or Corporate Finance, a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is also desirable.
You would also need:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in business English
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Understand databases and document management systems
Understand the basics of financial and account practices as well as the impact various document have in the business cycle
Adept in managing and developing key client relationships
Able to engage with a wide remit of contacts including other departments and third parties
Maintain strong relationships with the OEM’s and MRO’s to ensure the business is kept abreast of developments within the industry
Effectively and confidently communicate with senior management
Team Management skills
Liaise with other departments or service providers to ensure the complete execution of lease terms
Must work well both independently and in teams
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Extraordinary attention to overall quality of the final product
Flexible, self-starting, and tenacious
Proactive about addressing problems and proven problem-solving skills
Able to excel in high-stress situations
Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
